UNO

Uno is a fun card game played among 2 to 10 players.

Each player is dealt 7 cards, and in turns, players try to play a card by matching its color, number, or symbol.

In this guide, we will show you just how to play Uno, all Uno rules, the goal of the game along with whether there are strategies that may increase our chances of winning and what they have been. So let’s go!

UNO

Objective

Each player’s aim is to empty their hands first, declaring ‘UNO’ once you are on the last card in your hand, and catch other players with cards left in theirs.

The other players will attempt to do the same while also trying to block your abilities to play using the power cards such as for instance ‘miss a turn’ or ‘pick up two. ’

How to play Uno

Uno is amongst the easiest games to play with family and friends. You will find many variants on the internet, but most of them are based on similar gameplay.

Dealing cards

Each player is dealt 7 cards, and the others is positioned in the middle, face down. Players will draw additional cards using this pile during gameplay.

Drawing cards

The first player draws his/her cards, and the other players attempt to match the drawn card either by color, number, or the symbol on the card.

Matching

The next player then matches their card to the prior player’s card, an such like. If the player cannot play a card, they are needed to get from the draw pile.

End of the game

The player with the last card in their hand declares “UNO” and other players will keep you from winning using action and wild cards. If you are caught, you'll be needed to simply take 2 cards from the draw pile and continue.

The rules

There are no stringent tiles when playing Uno.

  • In every turn, you are required to match the card played either by colour, number, or symbol.
  • If you're struggling to play, you have to draw a card from the draw pile, of course, if still not able to play, you pass and allow next player have a turn.
  • Wild and special cards make the game more interesting since players may use these cards to keep other players from winning, and they ensure you get rid of your cards faster.

strategy

There are several strategies you can use to win when playing Uno; these include,

Pay attention to your opponents!

The idea of the game is to lose all your cards while making others gain cards.

Thus, having a notion of how many cards your opponents or which color he/she is playing comes in handy.

Keep +2 and +4 for emergencies!

They're essential cards that will help later in the game, and if you play them too soon, you may be left with nothing in case of a crisis later on in the overall game.

Keep the score of your cards low!

When you yourself have a top number, be sure to play them fast because the lesser points you have, the lesser points your opponents can score once they win.

The same case applies to the 0 cards since these cards are not easy to get rid of.

Whilst the game almost concludes, remove your Wild cards or any other special cards since they are worth 50 points.
